Rally shows who is queued for the volleyball courts at a facility, so everyone waiting sees the same list. This policy describes exactly what the app stores and why. It is short because the app collects little.
| What | Why | Who can see it |
|---|---|---|
| An anonymous account identifier, created automatically when you open the app | Ties a queue signup to the device that made it, so only you can remove your own team, nobody can take your place in line, and one person cannot hold several places at once | Nobody. It is not shown anywhere in the app |
| Team names, player counts, and scores you enter | This is the queue itself | Everyone using Rally at that facility — that is the point of it |
| Your name and skill level, if you sign up as a free agent | So teams looking for a player can be matched with you | Everyone using Rally at that facility |
| A notification token for your device | To tell you when your court is ready or a team wants you | Nobody. It is used only to deliver notifications to your device |
| Which league teams you follow | So My Teams can show their games and standings, and so you can be notified when a followed team's schedule changes or a teammate marks themselves out | Nobody. Follows are stored against your anonymous account and are not shown to anyone else |
| A followed team's roster — player names typed in by someone following the team — each week's roll call (in, out or maybe, per player), and offers to sub: a name put down as available for a night, and the team's yes or no | So a team can see who is coming on league night, and who could fill in. Every mark and offer records which player, or which anonymous account, made it | Everyone following that team. Rosters are not published anywhere else in the app, but following a team is not restricted, so treat a roster as visible to anyone who knows to look |
| Feedback you send from the app, with the app version, the kind of phone, and an email address only if you type one in for a reply | So the person who makes Rally can read it, and aim a fix | The developer, who receives each note by email. It is not shown in the app to anyone |
| Your email address — only if you sign in as a facility administrator | Administrator access is granted per facility by email, so the address has to be recorded and verified | Other administrators of that same facility |
Rally uses Google Firebase — Cloud Firestore, Authentication, and Cloud Messaging — to store the shared queue and deliver notifications. Google processes this data on Rally's behalf. See Firebase's privacy information.
Rally is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them. It asks only for team and player names.
Removing your team from a queue deletes it immediately for everyone. Unfollowing a league team removes the follow immediately, and anyone following a team can remove a name from its roster. Deleting the app stops all notifications. To have an administrator account or any other data removed, see deleting your account or data, or email the address below.
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
